What is Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga consists of six limbs focused on attaining samādhi. In this scheme, the six limbs of hatha yoga are defined as asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samādhi. It includes disciplines, postures (asana), purification procedures (shatkriya), gestures (mudra), breathing (pranayama), and meditation.[citation needed] The hatha yoga predominantly practiced in the West consists of mostly asanas understood as physical exercises. It is also recognized as a stress-reducing practice.

Aerial Yoga is a mix of Pilates and Yoga with the element of weighlessness. It invites a deeper stretch and a higher relaxation. It makes dificult Yoga asanas more acessable. It is thoroughly enjoyable work out!

I'm very passionate about being healthy and keeping the right liftstyle. Since a young age I have been very sports orientated. from the age of four, I attended and competed in; gymnastics, swimming (nationally and internationally), netball, javalin, cross country running and tennis.

 

now I enjoy diving with being certified in PADI advanced openwater and SSI free diver. I am very much pro activity workouts, as monotonous gym workouts get old real quick! 

 

I decided in 2015 to take the MAYI Yoga  Teacher Training Certification and teaching ever since! Its exciting to see what your body can actually achieve and feeling the results in such a short time! This will often seep out into every day life and create a very Zen like nature within your daily routine. 

  My Zumba certifcation closley followed, covering classes around KL I am in love with the environment and family like nature of this class, and most importantly its FUN! 

In 2015 I completed my Aerial Teacher Training with Viva Vertical Malaysia. Aerial has been a passion of mine since I was 24. I discovered aerial with a friend as we were always on the look out for fun ways to keep fit. Since then I have been teaching through Steelcats in 2014, Viva Vertical Malaysia 2015 and now Aerial Arts Academy and freelance in Hong Kong.

What is Aerial

Aerial is part of the circus family. Learn to fly high while dancing! Not everyone has to be a part of the Circus or Cirque Du Solai to experience this. There are many different forms of aerial but the main apparatus includes:

  • Hoop

  • Silk

  • Trapeze

  • Straps

  • Hammock dance

  Aerial can help to improve flexibility, help you to loose weight, and has been recommended by professionals to help battle depression. Through learning basic transitions it can help you with body awareness, and joint mobility increasing blood circulation.
